Camp Odyssey, a week-long teen camp that builds bridges across cultural differences, ran successfully for 12 years through the 1980s and 1990s. Positively impacted by their camp experience, several camp alumni approached Oregon Solutions to create a sustainable governance structure for Camp Odyssey to ensure its long-term success.
The Camp Odyssey and Oregon Solutions team was led by co-conveners Margaret Carter and Tom Fuller. The team established five committees to develop a camp governance structure: 1) recruitment, 2) camp location, 3) business plan, 4) outreach strategies, and 5) program evaluation.
Team members successfully completed a business plan and governance structure to support Camp Odyssey in the future. The Declaration of Cooperation was signed in March, 2012.
